Was over my mates house and his mam had her college tutor over taking some random pics for course work, took a few pics of me to show me how to make some cool looking pics, correct me please but this is what I remember him saying.
30 second exposure ? and using a torch my mates mam drew something behind me (was meant to be a halo and wings) it didn't turn out too bad (and now I know how to make them groovy pics)
He said he was using a Cannon 300D and it was old but still pretty good and can be picked up for £50-150, I'm tempted by this as the price range isn't bad and the picture quality was good for an oldish camera, are these worth the money?

any DSLR for £50-£150 with a lens is worth it IMO.

I've no idea what they are worth or even what DSLR means. But it made pretty photos and a clicky sound.

if it is a DSLR then yep £50 would be bang on, I'm not googling it for you though.

DSLR means Digital Single Lense Reflex. Wikipedia is your friend
if you are looking at spending that amount of money then I would urge you to look at the 350d's too, think they are on ebay for about £100-£200! Good camera's too!

Get a new computer sorted and get your car fixed before you start talking about buying something else that you can't afford yet

The computer does the job for now so that can stay for now, as for the car meh, I can afford £100-200 for something that's worth it.

I think you should stump up the extra £50 or so and get a 350d...much better
Photography is an expensive hobby though dude. Fix your shed first

I wont be buying new lenses on a weekly basis, just a couple of bits to make some decent pics of my car and random stuff. I'm not going to do a Jaffa and go out and take pics of semi naked men illuminated only by the moon.
I assume something like this is good?

Yeah that's a good set up mate. As far as not getting new bits all the time......famous last words, trust me! There will be 5 or 6 of us on here who've all said that at some point.

Lol I'll probably still be spending all my money on my shed instead of camera gear, but if that lot for £150 is worth it and I could find that kind of bundle again when I have some money spare I'll definitely get it.

Just to let you know
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Canon-Canon-Digital-Rebel-XT-EOS-350D-EF-S-18-55mm-Lens_W0QQitemZ370317437178QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDigital_Cameras?hash=item5638a3a8fa £225 ROUGHLY and thats with a good stock lense on it, the silver ones are a rare model in the uk, Jessops did them as Exclusive due to the Rebel (American name for the EOS series camera) being silver.
I personally PREFER it in silver.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CANON-EOS-350D-WITH-CANON-28-90mm-LENS-SUPERB-DSLR_W0QQitemZ260534574718QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CamerasPhoto_DigitalCameras_DigitalCameras_JN?hash=item3ca9121e7e this second one is the same body but with a better lense than the stock one.
either way, a BETTER purchase than a 300d!!!
