You fail on three counts;
1) It was in the pictures and videos section, the topic is photgraphy related so now its in photography discussion,
2) I'm not from Derby, I wasn't born there and I've spent very little time there during my life,

That's a good tutorial, but mostly based on editing once you've got it into the computer.

Set your camera up on a tripod so it'll be the same for all photos, use AEB (Auto Exposure Bracketing), it'll be in your menu system. Set them 1 stop apart, ie. -1 0 +1, set your camera onto the two second timer, take the photo as normal and it'll take 3 shots at those different exposures.

Get it back into photomatix, load the photos in, let the program blend it together etc, tonemap it and voila, play till your hearts content.

The only way you'll get anywhere with HDR is just practising, it's quite tricky to pick up.

yeah my mates sending me photomatix this weekend but thought id try something different. it is tricky but practice makes perfect :)
