Because I'm old school (and poor) a Canon 300D. But hoping to be able to afford to upgrade to a 50D come its release next year.

Not if Canon stick to their usual mode release date strategy -> Clicky.

Although I wouldn't buy it on release as I'd want to wait for the discount offer ;) :lol:.

There will be a cashback offer on them for sure, £100 no doubt, same as the 40D.

That said though we are planning two trips to the states next year. So depending on the strength of the dollar I'll probably get it over there.

I have a samsung NV3, quite a good camera for a amatuer like me, which is just aswell as i have had it a year and have just worked out movie mode facility, there is a radio and MP3 function....but thats a bit technical, i wouldnt mind one of those canon jobbys which a few peeps seem to have, altho i have much to learn before i branch out and get a new camera!
