Developed by Millers Oils highly acclaimed team who are responsible for the highly successful NT Gear Oils that won World Motorsport Award for best new product in 2009, the Nanodrive engine oils are specifically targeted to release power through friction reduction but also maximise wear protection. The Nanodrive formulation reduces friction by the use of spherical nanoparticle structures within the oil that actively fill rough metallic surfaces making a “tribofilm”, which means an ultra smooth surface. The groundbreaking formulation reduces load friction at extreme pressures even in stop start driving conditions, meaning less component wear and increased power.

KNOW THE DIFFERENCE...

What is the difference between conventional Motorsport engine oils and the new Millers Nanodrive technology engine oils?

- Increased power output and performance
- Significantly reduced friction
- Reduced component wear ensures longer component life
- Reduced heat generation
- Improved reliability
- Improved energy efficiency
- Extends engine oil life and maintenance intervals
- Superior anti-friction & anti-wear characteristics

Millers Nanodrive CFS range can be used on track or fast road use.

Bold claim to say an engine oil increases power!

Marketing spin (magnetic springs to mind) or do you guys actually think this stuff is any good over any other good quality synthetic?

It's a hell of a claim, but Millers have a good reputation and there's no point in them risking it for the sake of a few products.

Here's some of their testing results with the new oil. A Porsche 3.0 RSR engine was used, making 200kw with the 'normal' Millers CFS 10w-60. After that, they ran it with the CFS 10w-60 NT and found it was then making 211bhp, so a 5.5% increase.

Personally, I'd like to see a lot more results before I can say it's the best there is, but Millers do know what they are doing when it comes to performance oils.

By the way, it's really easy to run a car on two different oils and show a power increase and that's what a lot of dodgy companies have done. You get something that makes a fair bit of power, but likes a thin oil (Skyline R34s are often used) and put in a really thick basic mineral oil, then run it on the dyno, get the results and drop the oil out. Refill it with the 'good' oil, in a thinner than ideal grade and run it on the dyno again. That can show a really big difference in power. Silkolene tested the 15w-50 and 0w-20 Pro 4 in Honda Blackbird factory team bikes. The bikes made something like 6-8% more power with the 0w-20 than 15w-50 and that's using two good oils. If you use a really basic one for 'before' and a good one for 'after', you can gain about 10%. The big difference between this new Millers oil and other ones that claim power gains is Millers did the 'before' test with their own CFS 10w-60 and the 'after' with the CFS NT 10w-60.

Cheers

£80.54 for 5 litres?

I'm up for buying some, and I realise good oil is expensive but that's ridiculous.

£50 for 5ltr maybe...

Compared to some top end oils, it's not that steep. In most cars, Motul 300v will cost £100 for an oil change. There are plenty of others that we don't stock as they are too expensive and not that great.
