Watch some of his shit to get more of a feel for the game if you are not sure. This is more of a team game though where you can get further as a team. You will only get shot when on your own on populated servers.

I will add you. Here are some instructions on how to get this game up and running.

1) You need to go to www.dayzmod.com and look into getting six launcher.

2) When you get this, then you need to exit. DO NOT UPDATE using six launcher.

3) Then you need to go to http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ and get the latest patch as this is now stable (95208 build). Wait to update on each patch because they seem to update the servers after the clients. This will stop you having issues with connecting to servers.

4) You need to then create a shortcut for your game from the game directory which is the following DRIVE CONTAINING STEAM/Steam/Steamapps/common/arma 2 operation arrowhead//Expansion/beta/arma2oa << This is a EXE file.

5) Launch the game and enjoy!!!

Couple of things

a) I downloaded dayzmod and didn't get any executables, just a handful of data files. Do I move them into the ARMA folder?

b) Your point #2 above seems to be missing something. What do I do with six launcher? Run it?
