Seen this advert a few times and wondered if this camera was any good and what it costs etc

That's a bit rich coming from someone who spunked billions onto a Calibra.

Its likely around 300 notes. I bought lotty an fz35 for her birthday, tis a good camera, for just over 200 quid. Features found on an slr, priced reasonably too.

This could be good as I would like a proper camera although the digital one does for now, and this Lumix thing looks alright, I've just no idea if it really is a decent camera or just a digital camera with special features. Although £300 would be a bit much for a first camera.

Read my above post. Or, if you don't want to spend the earth, get a Fuji bridge camera - A lot of the features of the "proper" cameras, but a cheap option. You'll outgrow it very quickly though, if you decide photofgraphy is for you.

Looks ok and cheap enough, I'll keep looking and asking though.
