Compact camera for parties/indoors

Postby Martine » Fri Nov 06, 2009 10:24 pm

Hope you guys can help.

I'm looking for a good party camera. My FZ8 is a little big.

I need something that gives good pictures in low lights e.g. nightclubs, pubs, house parties, without noise, blurriness or grainy crap. Will probably feature people in drunken shots. Interested in things such as face detection, at least 3x optical zoom, image stability.

I'll mainly be posting pics on web, probably printing no larger than 10 x 8 inch.

My Budget is £100-150, do you have advice on what to go for, I've seen these so far

Nikon Coolpix, Lotty has one which is reasonable, or I have a Canon SX110IS which turns some good shots out.

I only have a cheap phone because it frequently gets dropped and I use PAYG.

Anyone with other ideas too? and links!

Thanks.

I bought this camera for my sister, its absolutely epic for its price.

[ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001T0GZKE/ref=ox_ya_oh_product"]Panasonic Lumix FS7 Digital Camera - Silver 2.7 inch: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo[/ame]

Read reviews of it, it blows anything near its price bracket right out of the water.

Yeah, alot of people rave about the Canon point and shoots. They're meant to have really good low light performance too which is win :tu:
