Digital camera help

Postby Lostboy » Thu Jun 04, 2009 5:37 am

OK camera geeks i don't know if any one can help me here but, My mother bought a Samsung L100 I installed the software onto my pc as ya do, took some pictures and went to put them on my pc, The software on the pc for the camera was set to auto download so when i plug the camera into the pc the magic should happen.

But nothing happens, Is there a certain setting you have to put the camera to for it to auto download? Or should it auto download as soon as the camera is plugged into the pc? Really pissed off with this as i have loads of mint pictures of my car i want putting on my pc :(

Anyone else ever had this problem or just have an idea how to sort it? I aint good with cameras .

Plug the camera in, then visit 'My Computer', or 'Computer' I think its known as in Fista, and see if the camera shows up as 'Removable drive'.

If so, just go in there and copy the pictures out manually.

I agree with Hughjeers, you're better doing it yourself than dicking about with the camera software.

Yet you can navigate your way round Fista? :?
The 'change for the sake of change' OS, where things that once took one or two mouse clicks in XP, take about 17...

Getting another camera won't change the way in which you have to retrieve photos off it, you're still going to have to do this no matter what camera you have.

I like Vista it is more secure and I personally find it easy, Things like cmd can be brought up in a few secs (or using my own tool, one click) and finding things is easier for me, I really do suxxor with XP
