Is it to do with the BHP?
I know on the Toyota Celica the 190BHP version has either the Toyota or the Celica writing in Red
I would take a guess at that!

Servicing is an arm and a leg for these,
The proper oil is summat like £60 for 4 litres, proper piss thin stuff it is.
But on a good note look after it with the right servicing and youll be clocking 400k

AUDI AG is one step ahead of the opposition yet again: The inventor of ‘TDI’ will fight, as the world’s first automobile manufacturer, for overall victory with a diesel engine at the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans. The new Audi R10 TDI is powered by a completely new 5.5-litre, twelve-cylinder bi-turbo TDI engine which is extremely economical and quiet.
The Le Mans Prototype, with over 650 hp and more than 1100 Newton metres of torque, significantly exceeds the power produced by the majority of previous Audi racing cars – including that of its victorious R8 predecessor.
Audi ventures into previously unexplored diesel-engine terrain with the V12 power plant manufactured completely from aluminium. The enormous torque of over 1100 Newton metres not only makes extreme demands of the R10 TDI transmission system – as even the Formula 1 specification engine dynamometers at Audi Sport had to be reequipped with special gearboxes capable of withstanding the unusual forces.

Cummings have been making aluminium V12 diesels sinse the 1970's
IMHO, as much as it pains me to say it, the only diesel engine worth owning is french :(

The Peugeot diesel is by far the best diesel engine ever made, I have a mag artical somewhere that has one in it that has coverd over 1,000,000 miles.
Granted, it isnt the fastest or most powerfull, not even close. but for reliability, high miles and cheepnes of repair there unbeatable.
thats why they are also fitted to citroen and fiat, AND a few others aswell

Must admit I learned to drive in a 306 DT and it was a great drive. The VAG's are quite boosty, so know when the turbo's come on song.

I'm not 100%, but the TDCi engine in the Focus, Fiesta Zetec-S etc is a Peugeot Engine (1.6)

Depends on which lump it is,
Obviousley the 130/150psi VAG lump will tear strips off a 90bhp Pugrot HDI,
My Pug's a thumping 90 braker, doubt i will break any land speed records with it but it picks up when asked, can easily sit at 90 on the motorway and delivers me an average 40mpg around town stop start driving.
And i aint getting buttfucked for oil

My 110bhp Tdi ! Can wheelspin in the wet, go over 100 mph, do over 450 miles to a tank full around the houses, and transport me and my clan wherever I want to go ! And that's with all seven seats in it !
