Just walking back from the butty shop near work, seen a handbag on the floor, right outside the Abby National. People walking past just looking at it :?

So, I picked it up (and no, I didn't empty it you cunts) and took it inside to hand it in. Felt quite good that I had done the decent thing. It's a proper cunt when you lose sommat like a wallet.

On that occasion, I'd hand it in.

Simply because, its very public place with people watching you do it, I'd be paranoid I'd be gripped as I walked off with it.

Random as this sounds, if i found a handbag, womens purse, womens shopping etc etc then i'd hand it into a ploice station.

Yet if i found summat that seemed to belong to a bloke (wallet, briefcase etc) i'd most probably take the valuables like cash, laptop, mobile, and leave the rest somewhere that someone else can find it and hand it in.

I'd never take someones wallet if it had family pictures in, i'd take the cash but leave the wallet and photo's to be found and handed in.

depends what kind of day im having,

more than likely hand it in to a police station ( if the property isnt claimed witrhin so many weeks etc, there sposed to contact you and you get posession of the contents etc)

but the cops more than likely to rob it nowadays, so id prob empty it of money first :P

I walked past Tesco's the other day and someones credit card was still in the cash machine, initially I walked past but after getting about 10 yards past turned round and took it into the tesco customer services.

I know that's what I'd hope someone would do for me rather than go shopping with it. :tu:

I once lost my wallet twice within a week, the first time it just disappeared while shopping in liverpool i didn't have a clue where it was or where I'd dropped it, after a couple of hours frantic searching my mum called from warrington to say somebody had called to say they'd found it and found my mums number in the wallet.

after ringing the person back they popped round to the student house i was saying in and handed it back including the cash so gave em a tenner to say thanks.

The next time I left it in the taxi I realised as he drove off I ran after it but he'd driven off/ignored me so rang the cab office striaght away to give the licence number of the cab. the driver said there was no such wallet in the cab :roll: I had to pay a fortune to replace everything! theveing bastard
