as many of you will know rick blew his engine up a few months bak! he has eventually got it out yesterday and heres what happens when the com rod blew out of the engine! :lol:

ye but got a quicker, proper twin cam in now! otu af an '89 celica! shud be more fun bein quicker!

'89 celica? Popup lights celica? That g'na fit in without too much modding?

Can't you find a decent SW20, or are you getting a bargain?

Shit, that reminds me. I know a guy who can find...uh...pretty much anything you want. Full turbo'd MR2 engine for less than you'd imagine. Want me to ask him how much it'd be?

all that need changing was the engine mounts and gearbox from old engine and also some wiring to make everything work!

not a very hard job if you know what your doing!

he had the engine out on sat but had party at nite so left it at that then sunday changed engine mounts and gear box and dropped the new engine in!

and i think he got it for about £100!!!

f*ck me, that's cheap.

I got offered a full 1JZ with gearbox, ECU, loom and turbos for £1700 in the country, overnight.

Pity the car it was meant to go into got nicked, over the weekend. :(

Yup. Must've had a tow truck to do it cuz there was no head on it and the keys are on my desk.

lets us know bout that turbo engine for mr2 mate! coz if this goes bang then its def having a turbo!

This engine is from the celica before the frog lookin' GT4-a-like version?
