This is the old lump thats being taken out. 2.8 Cologne V6 rebuilt with ARP bolts, ported and polished heads and inlet, janspeed manifolds and a full janspeed exhaust. K&N panel filter and a rotor arm with no rev limiter.
Rolling road result when i first did it 12 months ago was 168.9 bhp.

spent this week pulling the lump out of the cossie and wiring in the new loom and ecu into the capri...

Oh and chucked in a set of BMW 520i SE headlights so i can actually see the road at night, much better than the naff things the capri has as stock

and stripping the current engine a little...

Well the 24valver should have been quick to fit, but when i was swapping the clutch over i found this...

That will teach me for wanting to reuse parts...
But its an excuse to buy a new Borg Warner clutch kit
Battery relocated to the boot and cable run via the drive shaft tunnel

Most of the engine disconnected and bits removed, just held on by a couple of bolts here

Ok so i've done a test fit on the ex manifolds. They didn't clear the clutch cable to start with but i've removed the cable and rerouted it and this is the result

Still have the problem with my oil filter arm, i'm thinking about using the original capri item which is a touch shorter. However this means i lose the oil cooling water feed.
