How you you get around taking panning shots through a fence???
Its the Honda Indy Toronto races this weekend and I've treated myself to a weekend pass seeing it shoots off all the roads around my apartment.
Went for a nosey last night and looks like they have 10+ft high fences, just wondering how will I get the best results for taking photographs??

18-70 by anychance?
i found the 70-300 much easier at donnington if you could get above the fenceline at craner.

ideally, you want to be close to the fence, but that car's be far away from the fence so you can use a longer zoom...
180mm - fence visible

300mm - no fence

very slow shutter speed's help blur the fence away too

Looks like Im just gonna have to try and fight for better spots.
Chances are I wont be able to get far enough away from the cars as its all streetside. I could upgrade to a grandstand but then Im paying $109 instead of $59 for the weekend
