Personally I think the courts should have average premiums for the peoples ages and then when caught for uninsured driving their fine should be double the average premium for a persona their age.

That way people may actually decide it worth while to get insurance.

As it stands it can actually work out cheaper to drive without insurance.

Keeping it serious i tend to agree with Mike, also insurance is so expencive i think they should maybe look at finding a way to get premiums down. Motoring in general is very expencive

ill just say this. A Lad at work (Year Younger than me) Recently Drove his mates car While Drunk! and without a licence and without insurance.. Crashed it and rolled it over. It was a Metro btw.

Anyway the car is a write off (PMSL ud never guess) and the lad went court.

Got £50 fine and a 12 month ban for Drink Driving, No Licence, No Insurance.

WTF is going on!!!

u get caught going 5mph over the limit and u get £60 fine and 3 points! :o

Reason why he got let off to lightly... The Court took his JOB into account!!!! (Apprentice Electritian)

I dont like him because not only did he do it and makes me as a young driver look stupid and reckless etc HE actually LAUGHS about it!

Should be locked up for 6 months Min and fined at least £5000 for doing it!

exactly it leaves me fuming. A lot of the work lads dont wanna work with him because of what hes done. Twat! is all i can say.

he should be banned for 5years so he cant even get a provisional to even learn if he wanted too.

theres a paki i new from school, ive seen his name in the rochdale observer in court millions of times for no insurance, license, tax n test, hes been banned loads of times but yet when i was at work, he came threw the drive thru(i work at macdonalds) in a 05 punto sporting, asking for an empty cup, to mix his vodka with his coke, he was pissed outa his ugly face, driving a new car, while banned, and almost certainly would of had no insurance :evil: :evil:

police have a power... section 165a of the road traffic act.. if you are stopped and it is found you have no insurance the police will seize the vehicle. the cops can check the national database to see if you have insurance or not... some boy racer companies do not sign up to the database....
