WOW! Finally we're back .
So, you are probably wonder "Hmm what's occurred then?" and if so here's your answer, or if you are down with the kids the 411 :8).

On Friday 15 August 2008, at roughly 17:30, BTTOS fell off the interwebz. I was online at the time and thought nothing of it, just expected that the server transfer had finally happened.
After an hour and still no site(s) or word from the server provider I raised an emergency support ticket...two hours later I posted another demanding a reply to my first , which got me a reply. The nameservers for BTTOS were pointing to the server we were on. Odd, seeing as the change to the IPs was made three days prior to the suspected server transfer date to limit downtime. I went and checked anyway and yup the IPs are correct in the panel...but haven't propogated, thanks 1&1 . This in itself shouldn't of been a problem as the domains would simply just point the the "old" server...yeah that would be if the server provider hadn't decided to decommission the old server without making sure that everything had gone smoothly first.
So this put BTTOS in interwebz limbo. The domain couldn't point to the correct server because 1&1 hadn't done their job and the old server was now in a scrapyard somewhere. Oh and the BTTOS account on the "new" server didn't work. Grrrrrrrrrrreat. :? So another server transfer later, and a lot of support tickets, got things up and running in the background.
Due to 1&1's fuckup the nameservers had to be taken down, which took 5 hours, and then re-created and propogated, which took another 65+ hours.
In the mean time I have had to fight with the server provider to try and get things working how they should. Currently BTTOS is back up 98% and hopefully the remaining two percent will be resolved soon, and shouldn't really affect your BTTOS experience too much until it is.
Now for the bad news. Due to the provider turning everything off without warning, old servers are usually left online for a few days following a transfer, we have lost all data from the 12 August 2008 onwards. So this means any posts or pms made after this time are gone. And any new members that may of joined up after this backup was made are also gone. Also some of the attachments had become corrupt, so these have gone too. Thankfully though that's not the end of the world.
I'd like to thank you all for not hammering the site, except for those few of you that have...and yes I know who you are , and especially more so for not hammering Mike and my contact details to tell us that the site is down :pmsl:.
If anyone is struggling to get on ask them to try the following:
Open a command prompt, run cmd.exe, (Vista users will need to set cmd.exe to "Run as administrator") and type in there the following:
ipconfig /flushdnsOnce done that should force your PC/router to pull the latest IP details down from your ISPs DNS servers. If that doesn't work, try BTTOS.net.
Now cross everything and pray that things get some form of stability back now!
