[Bodge]

I bought this February 05, had been driving a mk1 Clio since i was seventeen and after Grant bought a 3litre Omega i decided i wanted a bigger, rear wheel drive car instead (all though i still love the clio to bits!) We (Helen, Grant and I) searched all over for a decent 318 but had no luck - then saw this. One roadtrip to Luton in the Omega later, at 18year old i bought this:

Then the modifying began. First off, 18" AC Schnitzer Type III Replica's (couldnt afford the real deal at 18!!)

Next up was upgrade on alarm system and my ICE install:

Then a day off work encouraged me to tidy up the engine bay:

For my 19th birthday my mate bought me some m3 rear lights:

And Helen bought me the RGM front splitter and m3 style rear diffuser:

And the last modification to date was a 30mm drop on the front and 20mm on the rear.

Really chuffed with the progress i've made in 7months. Had to work all the God given hours to allow me to do it as at 19yr old insurance companies hate you driving a standard car let alone a modded BMW.

Future Plans:

Finally finished saving for the next work on the car, full respray. Its going to be in the same colour but will get rid off dents, scratches etc, he's going to rid any rust and treat the arches, and when the final coats of laquer go on he's going to add some purple metal flakes to it as well for me. Cant wait as its going to look different and unique yet not tacky. Also, gunna get some eyebrows for the front.

Then save again lol, and buy some cyrstal front lights and fogs and finish my ICE off with a custom boot build (got the plans on what im doing just wanna get the outside tidied up first of all).

The car was starting to show its age with rust spots and chips etc, plus wanted to do something to it to make it a little different from standard without going over the top.

After much deliberation, decided to stick with same colour but a pearlescent version, plus a light coat of purple metal flakes. The pictures below dont do it justice as i cant seem to pick the full colour change up on camera. Once the light is on it, the colour sweeps across the car changing it from green to a turquoise blue to a purple.
