My 6n2 - Few changes to come.

I know i've made one of these before, but i thought it is about time i made a new one considering theres a few changes to come for the show season, which i wish to attend as many shows as i can.

Anyway i bought the Polo in a sorry state looking like this:

So i set to work on repairing it.

I bought the following parts:

2nd hand bonnet from the scrappers.
Black FK Angel-Eye Headlights from a German website.
Original Gti Honeycombe grill.
Genuine standard front bumper from Europart.
New wing.
Gti Front suspension, hubs and brake set up.
Gti Radiator.

The car was then put back together, and handles and rubstrips colourcoded, and was looking like this:

The wheels that were on it looked ridiculously shit to be honest and i got some 17s for free, which weren't much of an improvement but atleast they filled the arches a bit more:

Then a few weeks ago someone decided to undertake on a bend in the wet causing me to hit a curb, so the car is now off the road:

I then needed a new back axel which will be fitted this week at some point, getting the car back on the road.

At the moment im gathering parts ready for the show season.

So far i've got a set of coilovers.

The next parts i plan on getting are:

16" Kei velocity wheels in black.
Gti Spoiler or full tailgate as the genuine gti spoilers are fixed in with 3rd brake light.
Lowering it on the coilovers.
Rear disk conversion from gti.
Golf gti leather interior.
New backbox.

And at some point in the future I plan on dropping a GTI engine in, probably after i have a years no claims.


This is the reason i want the Kei Velocity wheels, after seeing a nice Polo in Gran Canaria over new year:
