Been meaning to get one of these in here for a while, and since work is ready to be commensed again I thought nows the time.

Bought the car last April.

Seen it for sale on PassionFord, being sold by the chairman of the Bristol RSOC. I phoned him had a chat about it and went to pick it up. On the phone he stated it basically needed some TLC. When I got there he pointed out the bad parts, took it for a test drive and set off home in it.

Had it for two weeks and one night visiting the Warrington cruise my oil pump decided to pack in, not good but theres no way of knowing that this would happen.

I took the engine out.

Whilst doing this I found...

What was gunna be a quick engine mod and back on the road turned out to be a restoration. Stipped the car back to see what it was like in other areas.

Seem as though it was going to be off the road a little longer I decided to carry out some extra engine work. Cams fitted and vernier pulleys plus a new oil pump fitted. Started stripping the engine

Macro shot for the win.

After doing all this I find another engine for sale 62k on the clock cams and verniers fitted for less than it would have cost me to get this one right.Came with over £1000 worth of receipts. I decided to buy this and turn the stripped down one into a 2.3 hybrid at a later date.

So that where my car stood for a while until xmas was over and the weather got better.

In the meantime I found a set of Morette quads on ebay for 137 posted, had to buy them at that price.

As easy as that.

Also ordered a new splitter off ebay (Laguna £15 posted) so needed front bumper prepping up for it to be fitted then painted.
